Visit the WL on Mondays and Thursdays This Summer

Summer students, remember the Writing Lab! The lab is open (with reduced hours) through August 21. The lab is located on the street level of Lindell Library and is just left of the circulation desk. This service is free and available to all Augsburg students; no appointments are taken. Just show up with your ideas and your work-in-progress (hard copy). Here are the summer hours:

Mondays and Thursdays: 4:30-7 p.m.

General Announcements

Volunteer at the Augsburg Booth

It's time to enjoy the Great Minnesota Get Together! August 27-September 7 are the dates and 9-1, 1-5, and 5-9 are the shift times. Because of the increased interest last year (the prize wheel was spun over 5,000 times!), we need even more volunteers. We will need THREE volunteers at the two shifts during the day.

Times are already filling up (very few 9-1 shifts left, but a big need for the 5-9 shifts remain), so please contact me as soon as possible. Email is herron@augsburg.edu or my ext. is 1525.

Thursday 7/23/15

Einstein's is open from 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. with a condensed menu.

The Commons is open from 7:15-8:15 a.m. for breakfast, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for lunch, and 5-6 p.m. for dinner.

Nabo is closed.

New Creaser in the Copy Center

Do you need to print thank you cards for your department or a birthday card for your mom, but are tired of the ugly, cracking creases when you fold the heavy stock?

Well we've got the solution for you.

The Copy Center has recently purchased a new manual creaser. It is perfect for creasing documents, and almost any type of card stock. Creasing begins at $0.05 per crease.

2015 McNair Summer Research Presentations

One component of the McNair Scholars Program is a 10-week summer research project. Each year students work with a faculty mentor on a specific topic, culminating in a final paper and presentation. In August students will be attending and presenting at the 23rd Annual McNair Scholars Symposium at the University of California-Berkeley. If you would like the opportunity to see these presentations at Augsburg, please join us on Monday, July 27, at 10am in Kennedy 303/305. Attendees are encouraged to select topics that interest them and to offer support and feedback to the Scholars. This event is open to the public, including all interested students, faculty and staff.
