Research Paper Acceptance

Associate Professor of Business Dave Conrad, Assistant Professor of Business Marc Isaacson, and Mayo Clinic physician and 2013 Augsburg MBA graduate Dr. Amit Ghosh have just learned their research study paper entitled, "Employee Motivation Factors: A Comparative Study of the Perceptions between Physicians and Physician Leaders" has been accepted for publication in International Journal of Leadership in Public Services.

Food Service Hours

Einstein's is open from 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. with a condensed menu.

The Commons is open from 7:15-8:15 a.m. for breakfast, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. for lunch, and closed for dinner.

Nabo is closed.


Einstein's will be open on Saturday 7/25/15 from 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

The Commons will be open on Saturday for breakfast from 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m., and for dinner from 5-5:30 p.m.

Event Announcements

MFA Summer Residency - Readings and Screenings

The MFA in Creative Writing 2015 Summer Residency will be held Thursday, July 23 through Sunday, August 2. Please join us in welcoming our group of very talented students and acclaimed writers to campus for this festival of craft talks, workshops, evening readings and more. This summer's visiting writers include memoirist Sue William Silverman; poet Marci Vogel, winner of the first Howling Bird Press book award; novelist Helene Wecker; playwright Carson Kreitzer; and Ken Rance, screenwriter of the film NEW IN TOWN. They will be joining our own MFA mentors, Nicole Brending, Stephan Eirik Clark, Cass Dalglish, Jack El-Hai, Heid Erdrich, Sarah Myers and Cary Waterman. In addition, eleven of our graduating MFA students will be giving public readings of their works - Trena Bolden-Fields, Ashley Cardona, Jayne Carlson, John Garland, Dominique Haikel, Jay Moad, Cindy Morgan, Roseroberta 'Bobbi' Pauling, Jen Shutt, KatieJo Sonneman and Amanda Symes.

We invite you to join us for the evening readings/screenings and receptions, at which featured writers will be available to sign their works. All events are free and the public is invited.

2015 McNair Summer Research Presentations

One component of the McNair Scholars Program is a 10-week summer research project. Each year students work with a faculty mentor on a specific topic, culminating in a final paper and presentation. In August students will be attending and presenting at the 23rd Annual McNair Scholars Symposium at the University of California-Berkeley. If you would like the opportunity to see these presentations at Augsburg, please join us on Monday, July 27, at 10am in Kennedy 303/305. Attendees are encouraged to select topics that interest them and to offer support and feedback to the Scholars. This event is open to the public, including all interested students, faculty and staff. Keeping Track of Auggies

Alum Performs at Minnesota Fringe Festival

Trena Bolden Fields, Augsburg alum, (BA 2000, MFA 2015) performs "My Life Interrupted, Not Once, But Forever" at the Minnesota Fringe Festival, July 20-Aug. 9. Trena wrote the piece about motherhood and the unexpected.
