2014 Annual Benefit Enrollment

We have made significant strides forward in creating a "green" open enrollment process. This year our enrollment process will be on-line. Additionally we are excited to announce that the 2014 premium amounts for single and family plan coverage options will be the same as last year. There will be new coverage options for 2014 as well. All open enrollment materials have been posted to the HR Moodle, http://moodle.augsburg.edu/moodlecommunity/course/view.php?id=329

Due to the change to online submission for benefit elections this year, the Enrollment Form and Submission link will not be available until November 6th when the actual enrollment period begins.

To ensure all employees have plenty of time to review the materials we are providing our 2014 plan information now. This will allow employees up to four weeks to review and select their coverage options for 2014. The annual benefit enrollment period opens Wednesday, November 6 and ends Wednesday, November 20. All forms must be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20.

All benefit eligible employees will need to complete the enrollment forms. Benefit eligible faculty and staff, working .750 (3/4) full-time equivalency (FTE) or greater are considered benefit eligible. If you wish to keep the same plan elections from 2013, you must complete an enrollment form. Your 2013 plan elections WILL NOT carry over into 2014. If enrollment forms are not received your plan coverage will terminate on December 31, 2013 and you will not be eligible to re-enroll until the next open enrollment period. Enrollment forms will be submitted on-line this year. No paper forms will be accepted.

We strongly encourage all benefit eligible faculty and staff to attend one of the five benefit information sessions. Sessions are scheduled as follows:

Open Enrollment Information Sessions:
November 6 at 2:00 p.m., Oren Gateway Center, Room 100
November 8 at 12:10 p.m., Oren Gateway Center, Room 100
November 11 at 8:30 a.m., Christensen Center, Marshall Room
November 12 at 4:45 p.m., Oren Gateway Center, Room 201
*November 12 at 4:45 p.m., Streaming at: http://connect.augsburg.edu/openenrollment/
November 13 at 8:30 a.m., Oren Gateway Center, Room 100

Human resources will also be hosting three sessions for employees that would like assistance with the online enrollment process. During these sessions employees will be walked through the online enrollment process step by step and will be able to submit their forms during the session.
Sessions are scheduled as follows:

On-line Enrollment Help:

November 15 at 8:00 a.m., Sverdrup Hall, Room 201
