Muslim Student Association Wins Community Award
The Islamic Resource Group (IRG), in partnership with Muslim Student Associations (MSA), organized a photo contest to capture smiling snapshots of students and community members. The photographs were based on the theme, "Got Smile? Share it!" that represented a common value that is cherished by Muslims and the society at large. All photos were judged by a panel of three independent judges on the impact, composition, and storytelling effect of the photos. IRG's partnership with the MSA's on this project generated a great deal of enthusiasm. About a dozen MSAs participated in this project and 40 entries were submitted.
IRG is pleased to announce the winner of this competition Augsburg's Devyn Lempke. The MSAs of the three winning entries will receive $300 each.
Congratulations to Devyn and Augsburg's MSA!

Social Change in Southern Africa: Travel to Namibia, an English-speaking country, and learn about international development while participating in a seven-week internship. Earn credit in history, religion, political science, environmental students, women's studies and more.

It is time to get your Girl Scout cookies again. If you would like to support the daughter of an Augsburg student (and a former employee), and get some yummy cookies, then just go and see Brenda Hemmingsen in the Admissions office or Cheryl Sticha in the Education department.
