Hands-on Agresso Training - Sept. 13 - TOMORROW
Did you miss the August 26 Agresso Hands-On training session?
Tomorrow is the last of two training sessions offered by the Administrative Accounting and Finance office. We will discuss how coding deposits and expenses impact your budget, where you are versus budget/outlook, and how to use Agresso web to find out more.
DUE TO A ROOM CHANGE, we will be in the Sverdrup 205 computer lab between 2-4 p.m.
Remember: This is a hands-on training. You will probe money coming in and going out, so bring your cost center number and questions!

Augsburg Mayo Innovations Scholar Program
Applications for Augsburg's Mayo Innovations Scholar Program are now available! This program is highly competitive and is primarily designed for juniors and seniors.
What is MISP?
In the process of conducting research, Mayo Clinic scientists have developed new products that may be marketable. These products are submitted to the Mayo Clinic Office of Intellectual Property (OIP) for a thorough investigation of marketability. The OIP has a significant backlog of products to be investigated. One of the backlogged products or inventions is assigned to each MISP team for investigative research and formal presentation at Mayo Clinic.
Augsburg's team will consist of an MBA student, 2 or 3 undergraduate science students, 1 or 2 undergraduate business/economics students, and a Licensing Manager from the Mayo Clinic OIP. The team will work together to understand the science and applications of the projects or innovations and analyze the market potential. Each undergraduate student on the team will receive $1,000. Teams will begin work during October and the final presentations will be in March.

By popular demand, this workshop revisits one of last year's topics with a more in-depth look at the "Getting Things Done" system for efficiently and successfully managing time and tasks in your everyday work. Participants will leave with a framework for thinking about and organizing their work, as well as completing some initial exercises. No background in the system or previous attendance is required in order to benefit from this session. Presented by Andrea Dvorak, International Programs.

Sign Up Now For An eRefund
Students who have completely finished applying for financial aid and have more than enough aid to cover tuition and fees (a negative balance) will receive a credit refund by October 1.
Students may receive their money before October 1 if they have set up an eRefund account by September 17. Sign up through Augnet, Records & Registration, Make a payment/account activity portal.
Career Quick Stop - Today
New for students this fall: Career Quick Stop (15 minute drop-ins) with Career & Internship Services
This fall Career & Internship Services will offer a new service to help meet the career development needs of students - Career Quick Stop. These walk-in hours are meant for quick career question and short resume reviews. Appointments will be limited to 15 minutes and students will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
Simply check-in at Career & Internship Services (Christensen Center, Suite 100) during the Career Quick Stop times: Wednesdays from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.- OR - Thursdays from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m.
Individual career coaching appointments are still available - just call or stop-in to schedule.

Auggie in Residence: Alumni in the Classroom
The Auggie in Residence program is a wonderful way for alumni, parents, and friends of the College to share their professional expertise and vocation with students. This program provides a unique opportunity to connect with current students, faculty, and staff - from speaking to a class, having lunch with a student organization, or giving career advice to students in internship or keystone courses.

Augsburg College is one of only a few ELCA colleges to offer a degree in Youth and Family Ministry. Do you enjoy working with kids? Has your church and your faith been important parts of your life? They want to hear from you--the students at Augsburg College--about what's important to you and how the State of Minnesota can help you achieve a college degree. Free Lockers Available for Commuter Students
Campus Activities and Orientation provides free lockers for students (Day, WEC, and Graduate) who commute to campus during the academic year. Lockers are located on the Ground and 2nd Levels of Science Building.
These lockers are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. To request your locker for the academic year, please print out, complete, and sign the form below and turn it into the Christensen Center Welcome Desk OR Michael Grewe in Christensen Center Room 1D (located on the ground floor in the "Auggie's Nest").

Dean Sundquist '81 Sponsors New Physics Laboratory
Sundquist gift of physics laboratory helps ensure first-class science facility for Augsburg
When Dean Sundquist '81 and his wife, Amy, heard Augsburg College's plan to build a new Center for Science, Business, and Religion, they knew they wanted to help. "The future is only going to get more technical and scientific. America's future prosperity and security depends on each successive generation becoming more inventive, innovative and progressive in science and technology," said Dean.
"This new building will be the capstone piece in the great improvements and upgrades Augsburg has made over the past 10-20 years," Dean says.
Their gift of $500,000 will name a physics laboratory in the Center for Science, Business, and Religion.
