Notice of Scam from an Employer

It has been brought to the attention of The Strommen Career and Internship Center that students may have received emails from a David Williams solutionsglassinc@gmail.com instructing you to deposit a check in a large amount that he will send to you via FedEx into your bank account. Do NOT deposit this check into your account. This individual is also asking people to wait one day and then withdraw the money from your account and sent money via Western Union. This is a SCAM and we do not want Augsburg students to fall for this.

Beware of Toner Phoners!

There are several unscrupulous businesses out there who attempt to sell you outrageously priced toner over the phone. They may start with asking you what is the model or ID# of the copier near your desk. They may say they have extra stock of the toner you need or the price is due to increase. They may offer to ship you a toner on trial. Regardless of what they say, don't give them any information. All you need to know is that you get toner for your copier by calling the Copy Center at extension 1054, and toner for your printer, fax machine or small multi-function printer by calling Cartridge Care at 612-331-7757. You will never need to purchase toner for machines in your area. A quick way to ditch these toner phoners is to tell them you would like to transfer them to the person in the organization who purchases toner - they will hang up before you can transfer them to me or the IT department!

Looking for a Place to Live/Roommates

Recent transfer student looking for a place to live or roommates that want to go on a search to find a place around Augsburg or even Dinkytown/Uptown area.

A little about myself is:
I'm recently 21 years old and will be a junior at Augsburg majoring in Elementary Education
The reason I can't live on campus is my little furry friend Lucas, my cat who is 1 year old
I was adopted from Peru as a child and grew up in the Twin Cities area!
I enjoy the art of make up, the Uptown scene, and volunteering in the Bloomington district.
I currently have a job in retail and am a "people person".
School is very important to me, along with my grades but I also like having fun...like the bar scene and BBQin' on weekends.

If you're looking to get a room filled or in the same position as me...let me know!
I'd love off street parking + cat friendly...but other then that I'm pretty open minded.
Email me at: zoeybros@yahoo.com

Thanks,
Zoey
