Stu Anderson will present a profile of his new course "Physics for the Fine Arts" which was designed with the new QR criteria in mind. AugCore Assessment Pilot training
Message: All faculty are invited to attend the AugCore Assessment Pilot project training workshop. This pilot will assess writing and critical thinking at the institutional level. Carol Rutz from Carleton College will train Augsburg faculty on how to do this assessment. The training will take place on March 9th from 2:30-6:00 p.m. in the Marshall Room. The actual assessment pilot will take place in May. Those who participate in the training will be asked to participate in the May pilot. Participation is a great faculty development opportunity. What are the characteristics of an assignment that lead to a well-written paper? Come to the training and find out! Participants will receive a 50 dollar gift certificate to Barnes and Noble. In response to requests from student government and thanks to the financial support of the President's Office, regular library hours have been extended. Beginning on March 1, Lindell Library will remain open until midnight Sundays through Thursdays and until 7 p.m. on Saturdays. Well close at 10 p.m. on Fridays.

Message: The Pan-Afrikan Student Union was in attendance at the annual Pan-African Student Leadership Conference held February 22 - 24 at Minnesota State University Mankato. In addition to being a successful conference overall, Rodney Dixion and Tiffany Ramm won the titles of Mr. and Ms Pan African respectivley. Congratualtions to them as they have helped keep a rich PASU and Augsburg tradition alive. |
