General Announcements
Surviving and Thriving in These Times
"Surviving and Thriving in These Times" is for Augsburg faculty and staff who want to come together on a regular basis to support each other and share ideas for action (either on campus or in the community--or both) related to what's going on in the world around us.
This idea came from talking with many people around campus who feel angry, isolated, frustrated, hopeless, etc. about the new Trump administration and what they think it might bring.
Mary Laurel True (Sabo Center) will host the gathering once a week for an hour and 15 minutes. People can come as their schedules allow and for as many weeks as it seems useful. The group will be very organic in nature.
The group's main focus will be to find ways to take action--and that doesn't mean that we will all be doing the same actions or that everyone has to participate. We will also have time for learning organizing skills, if the group so chooses.
I hope that this will be a life-giving, community-building, supportive and active way to face the "challenges" that many of us feel are coming our way.
Please let me know if you're interested in joining this group -- and if you'd prefer to meet at lunch time or after work around 4:00pm or 4:30pm.

If you are interested in taking this course and would like the course description and/or other information please contact Alan Tuchtenhagen (tuchten@augsburg.edu) or Jolee Lilja (liljaj@augsburg.edu) in the Dept of Leadership Studies.
