Launch of Website Refresh

On Monday, August 22, Augsburg will launch a refreshed design of our public website, www.augsburg.edu. The changes are designed to make the site easier to navigate for visitors (in particular, prospective students), encourage prospective students to stay on the site longer, highlight the characteristics that make Augsburg distinctive, and ultimately drive more prospective students (day, graduate, and adult undergraduate) to inquire about attending Augsburg.

The changes will include a new homepage layout and complementary refinements to department websites. High-traffic landing pages--including Admissions, About, Academics and Campus Life--also will be refreshed. You can find a preview of the new look at https://drive.google.com/a/augsburg.edu/folderview?id=0Bw3TkarzIotWaEJTb2FZSnlIaFk&usp=sharing.

Content managers have been notified about the changes. There should be no website down time during this transition, although you may notice some web pages in the new layout and others still in the old format during the course of the roll-out on the 22nd.

Please send any questions or concerns to mannj@augsburg.edu.

Farewell Reception for Eric Canny

Dear faculty and staff colleagues,

I hope you will join me as we say good-bye to Eric Canny, who will be leaving Augsburg at the end of this month to pursue a new leadership opportunity as the Vice President of Program Management, with CEA Study Abroad, an organization that provides international education experiences. A reception with light refreshments and a short program will be held on Monday, August 22, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in OGC 100.

I know I am joined by many who are thankful for Eric's leadership and expertise with the global education programs provided by Augsburg over the past two years. We wish Eric all the best in this new time in his career!
