Teaching and Learning

Call for Proposals: Honors Elective Courses

You've heard it all before:

"The Honors Program is elitist."
"Only a chosen few ever get to teach in Honors."
"I'd like to teach in Honors, but I don't know how to apply."

Now is your chance to help us change that perception! The Honors Programs needs electives to meet the needs of our students. We're looking for interesting courses that might be offered multiple times, on a regular basis -- no need to worry about one-off course design. A fully developed syllabus is not needed at this point. We just need some really good ideas.

Please submit your concept proposals, for possible offering in the fall 2016 or spring 2017, by October 30th, to:

honors@augsburg.edu

More details and the application form are available at:

Come to this one hour "Tech Tapas" and learn how your Augsburg faculty colleagues are harnessing learning technologies (audio/video, online advanced grading functions, the Moodle Attendance/Participation and Gradebook and polling tools) to provide substantive feedback in sustainable ways.

Thursday, Oct. 1, 3-4 p.m. in the East Commons, Christensen Center
