Farewell to Brian Greening
Brian Greening, Assistant Director of the TRIO McNair Scholars Program, is leaving us at the end of this month for a director position with TRIO Student Support Services at St. Olaf College. Brian has been with Augsburg and McNair for almost five years and his contributions to the program are too numerous to list. In business parlance, he's a "team player," always willing to add one more item to a growing to-do list, even if his colleagues need to remind him to use his vacation time before it expires. Brian's dedication to student growth is admirable he's been tireless in his work, assisting students with grad school personal statements, teaching the McNair 301 course, offering valuable information on improving writing and presentation skills, and just being available to meet with students and chat about their dreams and frustrations.
We'll miss Dr. Greening but we wish him the best of luck with his new position (we know he'll be as irreplaceable there as he has been here). The McNair Scholars Program will be hosting an informal farewell event on Tuesday, August 18, 1-3 p.m. in Science 152. All Augsburg faculty, staff and students are invited to stop by during that time to say goodbye to Brian!
