Freshmen Move-in Traffic and Parking Restrictions

DATE: Aug. 29 - Aug. 30
TIME: 10:00 p.m. (8/29) - 5:00 p.m. (8/30)
WHERE: Lots: A, B, C, D & E and Streets: 8th St. S, 7th St. S., 21st Ave. S., 22nd Ave. S., 23rd Ave. S., Butler Pl.
WHAT:

Parking and traffic will be restricted on the above streets and reserved for freshmen moving into Urness. Vehicles not moved by 9:59 p.m. on August 29 from any restricted Augsburg lot will be towed at the owner's expense. City streets are also subject to ticket and tow--check signage!

Those displaced by Freshmen Move-In may park in Lots G or L during this time. Traffic flow will also be restricted around the park and dorms, so please plan accordingly.

LAPS: Curriculum Innovations for the Future

Please join us for the final discussion in the summer conversation series on "Integrating Liberal Arts and Professional Studies."

After three productive and well-attended discussions in off-campus, experiential settings this summer, we will begin to define priorities for curricular and program development at this last gathering of the summer series. If you haven't attended any sessions, but are interested in knowing more, check out the General Education Moodle site for notes and additional reading.

Next Week Is the Last Week of Summer in the WL

The Augsburg Writing Lab will be open through the last shift next week: Thursday, August 21. Regular hours will resume after classes start in the fall. Remember, summer hours are Mondays and Thursdays, 4:30 - 7 p.m.

Hands-On Agresso Training

Soon new chairs and budget managers will prepare themselves for the start of the Fall academic year.

Administrative Accounting and Finance will host two hands-on Agresso training workshops. We'll discuss how coding deposits and expenses affect budget and actual variances to budget/forecast, in addition to, the Agresso web tool.

The following two training sessions will be in the Sverdrup 201 computer lab:
1. Monday, August 25, 10 a.m.-noon
2. Thursday, August 28, 2-4 p.m.

Volunteer with Campus Kitchen

Campus Kitchen is looking for volunteers for the rest of the summer!

Package and deliver meals to seniors Thursdays 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Serve a meal at Ebenezer Tower senior apartments Friday the 22nd 5:30-7:30 p.m. (every Friday starting in September)
Cook food to be served in the community Monday evenings 7-9 p.m.
