The deadlines for these programs are most often in January or February, so check out URGO's website to see if there is one that is right for you!

Needing Things for Food Shelf: Scale, Shelves, Etc

The student food shelf (offering free food to students) will open up the first week of February, and we're looking for a few things to get it ready:

Wire shelves, similar to this: http://www.amazon.com/Whitmor-6060-322-Supreme-4-Tier-Shelving/dp/B0007MHD1K/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1358284613&sr=8-6&keywords=wire+shelving
Scale for weighing donations (can be a step-on scale)
A radio/CD player to have some good music to make it inviting
Compact, modern lamps for nice lighting

And, of course, food. A'viands will be collecting non-perishable goods starting February 1st (special kick off in Chapel that day), so please keep our students in mind as you look in your kitchen cupboards over the next couple weeks. In the meantime, please let me know if you have anything that can help get the food shelf ready. Thanks!
