Citizen Law Enforcement Academy

Would you like to tour the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab, Meet K-9's, tour the jail?

Apply today for the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office Citizen Law Enforcement Academy and you will get an inside look at the Sheriff's Office. Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek invites you to participate in this 10-week, hands-on academy. Classes are Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

This program is for teachers, community leaders, those who work with law enforcement, or interested citizens who want to know how law enforcement and the criminal justice system work from an insiders’ perspective.
Applicants must be at least eighteen (18) years old. Due to the nature of the material presented, all applicants will be screened for criminal backgrounds.

The spring session begins April 14, 2011. Please submit an application which can be found online at www.hennepinsheriff.org. Questions? Email Sergeant Kathy Hughes at kathy.hughes@co.hennepin.mn.us.

We know you're busily studying during these last weeks of Winter Trimester, so while students in the Day program are off on Spring Break, be assured that Lindell Library will be open for you, our Augsburg for Adults students.

Monday-Friday, Mar 14-18: 11 am-10 pm
Saturday, Mar 19: 10:00 am-6 pm
Sunday, Mar 20: Noon-Midnight

Hours are always available from the "Hours" link on the Lindell Library web site: www.augsburg.edu/library

Online library resources are also available 24/7 on that web site

Farewell to Julio Vargas

Julio Vargas, Associate Director of Admissions, has accepted a new position at the Perpich Center for Arts Education. His last day is Friday, March 18. Please join the Enrollment Management division for a send-off in the Undergraduate Admission Office from 12-1 on Friday March 18.

Focused Conversations: Campus Space Master Plan

Tammy McGee, VP Finance and Administration and CFO will be hosting two focused conversations to present the revised campus Master Plan.

The revised plan to be discussed, has incorporated data collected from the focus groups that were held in the fall and spring; input from the CSMP Commission members; and input from the Board of Regents.

We want your feedback as we move forward in our work to finalize the Augsburg College Campus Master Plan, please join us at one or both of the following sessions.
