2011 College Student Health Survey

Prizes*: $3,000, $1,000, and $500 gift cards and an iPad™
Survey Extended: Closing is now March 22, 2011

If you were contacted as one of the randomly selected students to participate in the 2011 College Student Health Survey, please consider taking the survey if you have not already.

If you were selected, by now you should have received at least one post card and two emails from healthsurvey@bhs.umn.edu inviting you to participate. Please check your junk or spam folders. Some students have reported the email was routed into those folders.

To learn more (e.g., about prizes) or to take the survey, go to http://www.bhs.umn.edu/healthsurvey and enter the username and password from your post card or invitation email.

*Just for completing the survey, students will be entered into a grand prize drawing: Three lucky students will win gift cards --$3,000, $1,000, and $500 -- to any combination of the following stores: Target, Best Buy, Macy's, Home Depot, IKEA, The Apple Store, Tiffany & Co., Sports Authority, Scheel's, and Cabela's. PLUS, every week, students who completed the survey will have a chance to win an iPad™, and one student from every school will be entered into a drawing for an iPad at the end of the survey. The sooner they fill out their survey, the more chances they have to win! A student's odds of winning are better than 1 in 1,000!

Winners will be notified by email and a general announcement is made on Facebook. Students, staff, and faculty can "like" the 2011 College Student Health Survey Facebook Page to receive updates during the contest: http://www.facebook.com/pages/2011-College-Student-Health-Survey/149448838442560?v=page_getting_started.

Augsburg College the University of Minnesota are working together to sponsor this survey. Cass Dalglish: PBK Recognition

English and Women's Studies Professor Cass Dalglish will soon be inducted into the St. Kate's chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. The process for reviewing alumnae is rigorous and requires a significant record of publication. In Cass's case the PBK committee at St. Kate's began the process when they came across her most recent book, "Humming the Blues." Representatives of the St. Kate's chapter, who came to campus Thursday to surprise Cass with the news, feel her work as scholar and teacher exemplifies the best of the liberal arts tradition that PBK advocates. Cass will be inducted the evening of April 26 at St. Kate's. We in the English Department are very proud of her record of achievement and pleased that she is being recognized by her alma mater.
