Message: Counseling & Health Promotion encourages you to check out a great college health website, Go Ask Alice! This site from Columbia University has health experts answering students' real questions on tons of health, sexual health and mental health topics (e.g., "How should I help my drunk friend?" "Is social smoking really bad for me?") Check it out and bookmark it. Also check out CCHP's self-help page listing other best of the web college health and mental health sites, or our community resources page listing Twin Cities health resources. http://www.goaskalice.com/Cat5.html
Message: Augsburg has been recycling for over 14 years and we continue to increase the amount of recyclables that we rescue from the trash stream. Recycling is a team effort here on campus and everyone can be part of the team. Augsburg saves money on its trash hauling costs by recycling paper, cardboard, cans, bottles and electronics. We also have our garden waste sent out to BFI composting stations for eventual reuse. Last year we recycled approximately 170 tons of paper and cardboard and 300 cubic yards of cans and bottles. We can do even better this year if we just take a little time to think and put recyclables in the proper containers. All cans and bottles can be recycled in the blue containers with the two-holed green tops and all paper and cardboard can be placed in the blue containers with the blue-slotted tops or in the large, square blue containers around campus. The Augsburg Recycling policy & procedures can be found in the Custodial public folder in ORGS.
