ABSTRACTS DUE FRIDAY, APRIL 7th
Message:
Message:
Please join us on Wednesday, April 5th at 6 p.m. in Science 123 for a "War in Iraq" Awareness Event. There will be a special screening of the 18 minute documentary, "Caught in the Crossfire," made by American and Iraqi filmmakers, which brings us the untold story of the destruction in Falluja. The night will also include an art display and sale by adult and children artists from Iraq. Following the film we will have a group discussion to speak about how we as a community can be aware and active citizens with relation to the war our country is fighting.

Think you're connected? You've got a cell phone. You've got a laptop. You've got an Ipod. But unless you're connected to Lindell Library, you may not know what you're missing.
Message: At 7 p.m. on Wednesday, 5 April 2006, in OM 18, ENG 480: Theory and Criticism is hosting a Critical Conversation on Vocation focused on dramatist Harold Pinter's Nobel Lecture: "Art, Truth, and Politics." In preparation for our 90-minute discussion (we have more time than that if we need to run over), we would like participants to go to www.nobelprize.org, to watch the 46-minute video of the speech, and, if they like, to download and printout the text of the speech. Watching the video is a powerful experience, because Pinter has 'engineered' his performance. While we might see a bit of the video to start, we don't want to rely on the internet stream when we gather. Everyone interested and able to come is welcome; if you have questions or plan to bring a class or small group, please contact Doug Green (x1187, green@augsburg.edu). |

Some of the Gospels tell us that the last supper Jesus ate with his disciples was the Passover Seder. There are a number of churches that celebrate this meal as a way to learn more about the Jewish faith, the faith of Jesus and the disciples.
Message: Interested in going to the Northrup King Gallery?

Last year was the hottest year on record, global temperatures are rising, glaciers and icecaps are shrinking, oceans are rising, and the main cause is the release of carbon dioxide by humans -- and we're producing MORE every day.
