Wednesday April 5 at 6 p.m. there will be an Iraq War Awareness Event in the Science Building Room 123. The event will be built around the documentary Caught in the Crossfire- The untold story of Falluja. In addition there will be a community discussion afterwards about issues raised in connection to this movie. There will also be a display and sale of Iraqi Art.
Message: At 7 p.m. on Wednesday, 5 April 2006, in OM 18, ENG 480: Theory and Criticism is hosting a Critical Conversation on Vocation focused on dramatist Harold Pinter's Nobel Lecture: "Art, Truth, and Politics." In preparation for our 90-minute discussion (we have more time than that if we need to run over), we would like participants to go to www.nobelprize.org, to watch the 46-minute video of the speech, and, if they like, to download and printout the text of the speech. Watching the video is a powerful experience, because Pinter has 'engineered' his performance. While we might see a bit of the video to start, we don't want to rely on the internet stream when we gather. Everyone interested and able to come is welcome; if you have questions or plan to bring a class or small group, please contact Doug Green (x1187, green@augsburg.edu).

Consider that Lindell Library has over 188,000 books CDs, videos, and DVDs, over 21,000 journals, magazines, and newspapers, and over 73,000 square feet of study and research space. Consider, too, the most important number to the staff of Lindell Library: the number "one." You are the ONE person whom we seek to serve. Come visit us during National Library Week in person or at www.augsburg.edu/library.

The ACTC intercampus bus schedule will change beginning in the fall. The new schedule can be found at http://www.associatedcolleges-tc.org/bussched2.htm . Students will need to be aware of the new schedule when planning to use the bus for cross registration in 2006 - 2007. I would appreciate it if you could inform the students in the appropriate methods for your campus.

Auditions for "All in the Timing", a comedy by
David Ives, directed by senior Theatre Arts Major, Robyn Long, will take place Monday April 10th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the greenroom
in Foss. There will be a sign-up sheet near the door to the theatre for those
who are interested. This critically acclaimed, award-winning combination of
comedies combines wit, intellect, satire and just plain fun. Any Augsburg
student is welcome to audition whether they have performed a lot or are just
curious about theatre. There is no need to prepare anything, just show up 10
minutes early and be ready to have fun. Students interested must be willing to
commit to August rehearsals with a performance the first weekend in September.
