Dear Colleagues,
Message:
Augsburg
faculty and staff members are invited to enjoy a complimentary lunch
on Wednesday, February 8 from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. in East Commons.
Hear Augsburg history professor Phil Adamo describe his journey from
circus clown through a series of meaningless jobs to his current calling
as a college professor. How did he do it? Why did things turn out the
way they did? Plus: dangerous pitfalls you can avoid. |

Message: Join an on campus book club! We will meet once a month in late February, late March and late April for a one hour discussion at noon. Jay Phinney and Carol Forbes have chosen two of the books and the Center for Teaching and Learning has ordered them. The February 22 selection is "Iron Lake" by William Kent Krueger. In northern Minnesota's lake country, Cork O'Connor , the former sherriff of Aurora, MN, takes on the task of digging out the truth after the town judge is murdered and a young Eagle Scout is reported missing. Krueger is an award winning author of the Cork O'Connor series and spoke last spring on our campus. The March selection is "Blink, The Power of Thinking Without Thinking." Please contact Carol at x1184 if you are interested in participating.
