Last Week of Class - Remember the WL

The end is near and papers, applications, reports, revisions will soon be due. Don't panic. Do find the WL now! It's located in Lindell Library, street level, just left of the circulation desk. Here are the hours:

Mondays: 11:10 - 1:40 and 6:30 - 9:30 PM
Tuesdays: 12:30 - 3:00; 3:30 - 6:00; and 7:30 - 10 PM
Wednesdays: 3:30 - 6:00 and 6:30 - 9:00 PM
Thursdays: 12:30 - 3:00; 3:30 - 6:00 and 7:30 - 10:00 PM
Fridays: 4:00 - 6:30 PM
Sundays: 5:00 - 8:00 PM

Augsburg CSA Drop Site

Are you interested in easy access to nutritious, delicious, locally grown food throughout the summer? Campus Kitchen is conducting a survey to gauge the interest of a CSA Drop Site on Augsburg campus for students and faculty in the area. Visit the Campus Cupboard

Stop by the Campus Cupboard in the Foss Lobby! We are an on-campus food shelf collecting running donations. Students are also welcome to take five items per visit. Make sure you're staying well fed as we approach finals!

Einstein's is open from 7:30am-3:00pm.

Farewell to Matt Ksepka

Please join us in saying a fond farewell to Matt Ksepka on Wednesday, Dec. 14, from 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. in Marshall Room, Christensen Center. Refreshments will be served. Matt has accepted a position as Chief Financial Officer at Totino-Grace High School. His final day will be Thursday, Dec. 15.

Seward Winter Frolic This Weekend

Looking for some great winter fun? Come to the Seward Winter Frolic this weekend, Dec. 3 and Dec. 4. This annual neighborhood event celebrates the vibrancy and diversity of the Seward Neighborhood. More than 70 artists will be displaying and selling their work at local businesses, galleries, and churches. All venues are within walking distance throughout the Seward Neighborhood. Focused Conversation: Diversity and Inclusion

Next week's Focused Conversation series will engage the topic of Augsburg's work in diversity, inclusion and equity. The sessions are Tuesday and Wednesday next week and will be facilitated by Joanne Reeck, chief diversity officer and director of Campus Activities and Orientation.

Holiday Campus Kitchen Dinner - TONIGHT

Campus Kitchen students, with the help of the women's lacrosse team, will be preparing a special holiday dinner for our friends at Ebenezer Tower in the Phillips neighborhood this Friday. We're gathering as many volunteers as possible to help make this a sit-down dinner for the elders in the building. Coming Up At Cedar Commons

* Stories of Experiencing Disability In Today's World *
TUESDAY December 6th, 6-8pm

Join us for a panel discussion by, for, and about disabled people and our experiences. This will be an opportunity to hear first-person narratives of what it's like to live in today's world as a disabled individual. Panelists will include people with a range of experiences, abilities, and disabilities.

Light refreshments will be provided.

* Interfaith @ Cedar Commons: A Spirituality of Racial Justice *
THURSDAY December 8th, 6:30-8:30pm.

Join us for a meal and conversation about the ways that our faith communities both perpetuate racism and hold power to bring about racial justice.

Speaker: Mel Reeves, longtime local activist and organizer and a person of deep faith.

Do you need to be a "person of faith" to come? Absolutely not. We welcome anyone with interest in conversation about how faith/spirituality shape our lives and intersect with the issues we care about.

This gathering is hosted by the Interfaith @ Cedar Commons organizer team and the Augsburg Interfaith Scholars.

Public Policy & Social Justice Student Opportunities

On Tuesday, December 6 at 3:30-5:00 p.m. in the Student Lounge an information session will be held regarding graduate school opportunities for undergraduate students who may be interested in public service at the local, state, national, and international levels. More specifically opportunities that would prepare students to be future leaders who could advance the common good in a diverse world once equipped to design, manage, and advocate for better policy solutions. After completing graduate school some areas that students could venture into include but are not limited to global policy, leadership and management, politics and governance, social policy and analysis, and urban and regional planning.

If you are a student please attend, if you are a faculty or staff member please encourage students to attend!
