Lot D Closure (Friday, August 26)
The Department of Public Safety will be closing Lot D in support of move-in day for First-Year Residential Students. Lot D will be closed on Friday, August 26 from 5 a.m. until 6 p.m. to facilitate the move in process.
Faculty and Staff should plan to park their vehicles in Lot L on this day. Please refer to http://www.augsburg.edu/dps/parking/ and select the PDF map if you have questions about parking lot locations on campus.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this closure may cause for the Augsburg College community.

Augsburg-Luther Seminary Alliance Info Site
Business-MIS
A new information site is available to provide periodic updates on the strategic alliance initiative between Luther Seminary and Augsburg College.
The site includes information about the initiative, a list of the executive committee members and progress on current projects. We are working on the two pilot projects that were announced in May and will update the site as progress is made.
In addition to focusing on areas where the two schools can work together, we also are exploring longer-term opportunities to provide services in a way that allows other institutions to join the alliance.
As updates are made to the site, information will be posted to the Luther Seminary intranet and to Augsburg College's A-mail. Feel free to check the site at any time. Donate Your Flowers To Beautify the West Garden
Calling all flower people. Bring us any perennial flowers (especially native pollinator plants) you have in your yards or from your local florist, that you no longer wish to keep! Students will be helping plant them along the west side of the Augsburg Community Garden for City Service Day.
Drop off flowers at the garden on Monday 8/29 by 1 p.m. Thank you so much!
Commuter Lockers Available
Campus Activities and Orientation is happy to tell you that we have lockers available for your use. The lockers are located in the science building. The lockers will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. If you would like to check one out, please sign up here:

Einsteins is open from 7:30am-1:30pm
Nabo is open from 10am-2pm
The Commons is open from 7am-8:30am for Breakfast, 11:30am-1pm for Lunch, and 5-6:45pm for Dinner.
On Friday August 26th All Food Service Locations will return to Full Hours and Full Menus.
Einsteins is open Monday-Thursday from 7:30am-9pm, Fridays 7:30am-8pm, Saturdays 7:30am-5pm, Sundays Closed.
Nabo is open Monday-Thursday from 7:30am-8pm, Fridays 7:30am-6pm, Weekend College Fridays 7:30am-7pm, Saturdays 10am-2pm, Sundays Closed.
The Commons is open Monday-Friday 7:30am-7pm, Saturdays and Sundays 11:30am-1pm and 5-7pm.

Welcome to the 2016-17 academic year! We look forward to having you back online and on campus!
This is a reminder of the schedule for next week's start to the new fall semester, which can also be found on the Registrar's website here.
Opening Convocation, for our first year and transfer students, is scheduled on Monday morning, August 29, at 10:30 in Hoversten Chapel.
No classes will be held between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Monday, August 29. However, evening classes will meet on Monday, August 29 as scheduled. All classes will be held as scheduled starting on Tuesday, August 30.

Augsburg Total Wellness: School Supply Drive
Happy Back to School Time, Auggies! Are you excited? I know I am, and I know that there a lot of little kiddos out there excited (and maybe a little nervous) for their first day back at school too.
To kick off the academic year, Augsburg Total Wellness is sponsoring a School Supply Drive to feel good, by doing good. All donations will be delivered to People Serving People. This non-profit organization is located in Minneapolis. As the largest and most comprehensive, family-focused homeless shelter in Minnesota, your donations will have a huge impact. Thousands of students across the country are heading back to school in just a few short weeks. Let's help make sure each and every one has the supplies they need to be successful! From August 22nd to September 2nd, donations will be accepted in Human Resources, Memorial Hall, Room 19.

Remembering Douglas Diamond
The Music Department will host an event in remembrance of Doug Diamond in Murphy Square on Saturday, August 27, from 3-6 p.m. Brisket, prepared to Doug's specifications, will be served. If you'd like to speak and/or play music in the park you are invited to do so. A time to remember, laugh, grieve, and be grateful for the memories and lessons learned. Please help spread the word!
