Today: Syllabus Workshop, 10 a.m.-12 p.m., Marshall Room
Wednesday, May 18 | Syllabus Construction/Deconstruction Workshop | 10 a.m.-12 p.m., Marshall Room
Are you frustrated by students who do not read your carefully crafted syllabus? Are you wondering if your syllabi contain too much, or not enough, information? Bring your syllabi and be ready to apply the CASE method (Copy And Steal Everything) in this hands-on syllabus construction deconstruction workshop. We will look at best practices in syllabus design, share and promote common language, and with any luck get some actual work done. Please bring your laptops and/or electronic copies of your syllabi.
Sponsored by the Center for Teaching and Learning.

Deliver meals to neighbors this Thursday
Top 5 reasons you should use your lunch break to deliver meals with Campus Kitchen this week:
5. Our elderly neighbors need lunch. You need a break. Perfect!
4. You never know what or who you'll find behind each apartment door ...
3. After walking down 12-22 flights of stairs, you won't need to work out!
2. Have you seen the Campus Kitchen van? It's an experience.
1. The stories, smiles, and thank yous from the seniors will stick with you for weeks!
Every Thursday, we deliver meals to 59 elderly neighbors in Phillips and Seward neighborhoods. We pack lunches at 11 a.m., leave for deliveries around 11:30 a.m., and return to Augsburg by 1:30 p.m. We promise you'll return with at least one good story to share!

Thank you Diaper Bank of MN
The Diaper Bank of MN has committed to supporting another year of providing many of our much needed diapers for the Augsburg Central Health Commons! The ACHC has more than 120 guests each week. These guests are often experiencing life without permanent shelter, many who have young children, and the cost of diapers adds to the already stress situation people are experiencing. We are thankful to be part of this ongoing partnership.

Target gift card for research study participants
Hello Students,
My name is Jide Ifonlaja and I am a senior Exercise Science student and an URGO researcher this summer at Augsburg. I am validating a modified version of the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) test in Division III male college soccer players and need healthy male Augsburg College students (ages 18-24) to participate in this study as part of the control group. You may not be currently a part of an Augsburg athletic team. This study involves a one-hour visit to Kennedy Center Physiology lab (room 309) for Functional Movement Screen testing and a video of a single-leg squat. Participants will receive a $10 gift card to Target. You can come back after a week for further research testing and another $5 gift card.
You can reach me at: ifonlaj5@augsburg.edu to get more details or to schedule an appointment time.
Thank you!
