Grade Change Instruction Reminder

This is a reminder about Grade Changes.

Please send all Grade Changes to registrar@augsburg.edu or any other information related to grades. Since we are trying to go paperless, we need a centrally located place to save all the grade information and changes. This will also allow the rest of our staff to have access to make the change if someone is absent.

Grade Change Instructions

Once a grade is posted online though AugNet it is locked out on the web. It is very important that faculty members who need to submit a change of grade for whatever reason do so by sending an email to registrar@augsburg.edu from their AUGSBURG email account using a separate email for each student and grade change. It must be a NEW email (not containing any other threads). This is for student confidentiality and to stay within FERPA guidelines.

The faculty member needs to Enter "Grade Change" and "Student Name" in the Subject Line.
Example (Grade Change - Last Name, First Name)

Then include the following information:
Student Name:
Course #:
Course Title:
Term & Year Taken:
Section:
Old Grade:
New Grade:
Date Coursework completed (for use in determining a Graduation Date)
All changes except for "X’ and "I" grades need to have the reason for the change submitted. Depending on the reason, the change might need Academic Affairs approval in which case the email will be forwarded to Amy Gort and Keith Gilsdorf to await approval. One or both with respond.

Vocation of a Lutheran College Conference

This summer Augsburg will host the twenty-second annual Vocation of a Lutheran College Conference. Each year this conference brings together members of Lutheran (ELCA) colleges and universities to explore the distinctive roles we play in higher education.

The conference will take place from Wednesday, June 8 - Friday, June 10. The conference will begin with an opening session at 4 p.m. followed by a dinner at 6:45 p.m. on June 8 and conclude by 1:00 p.m. on June 10. The theme this year is "Preparing Global Leaders for a Religiously Diverse World."

A schedule and session topics for the conference can be found at: http://www.augsburg.edu/ccv/events/vocation-of-a-lutheran-college-conference/

As you may know, the ELCA sponsors teams of up to five faculty and staff from each of the ELCA Colleges to attend this annual gathering. Each year this conference brings together our Lutheran college colleagues to explore the distinctive roles we play in higher education. This year, in addition to faculty and staff, we are also inviting students to participate in the conference. As was true for the past seven years, one of the benefits being the host site is that we have the option of inviting more than five people to attend.

This year we will examine interfaith leadership, and students are invited to attend. Students from different colleges will be helping to lead certain parts of the conference as well.

If you will be close to campus this summer, I encourage you to register for this great educational opportunity.

Conference details:
Theme: "Preparing Global Leaders for a Religiously Diverse Society"
Begins at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, June 8
Ends at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 10

The agenda for the conference as well as access to online registration is provided in the links below.
