An Evening with Sister Helen Prejean

Join CGEE and the local non-profit organization "Friends of Batahola" in a fundraising event featuring Sister Helen Prejean this Saturday!

Sister Helen is an engaging, thoughtful, and wonderful presenter as she discusses her first experience being a spiritual director while walking someone to the death chamber, her journey to Nicaragua, and the non-profit organization, "Friends of Batahola".

The event is presented to raise funds for the Friends of Batahola organization, a cultural center based in Managua, Nicaragua dedicated to "Promoting a culture of gender and generational equity, which enables women and men of all ages to discover and affirm their human rights, self-esteem and the equality of all people."

We believe that anyone interested in social justice, grassroots political campaigns, Nicaragua/Latin America, and those opposed to the death penalty will be especially interested in Sister Helen's talk.

Price: $20.00 for general admission, $15.00 for students w/ID. Augsburg students, staff, and faculty free with ID. Reserve your seat at: tickets.augsburg.edu
