Plus, get the inside scoop from Augsburg Graduate Admissions and The University of Minnesota Graduate Admissions! Students from all majors are invited to attend. Whether you are a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior, if you are thinking of attending graduate school in the future, this is an event you don't want to miss!

Internal Job Posting for Head Wrestling Coach

HEAD WRESTLING COACH
The Department of Athletics (Member of the MIAC, NCAA Division III and the NCAA West Regional) seeks experienced candidates to oversee the nationally recognized Augsburg wrestling program. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the head coach is responsible for the planning and administration of all aspects of the wrestling program. The Head Coach provides vision, leadership and oversight for current student-athletes, prospective student-athletes, alumni and parents. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Budget/fiscal management, building and strengthening cross-campus relationships, recruiting, practice plan development, individual and small group instruction, video analysis, large group instruction and individual meetings with both assistant coaches and individual student-athletes. The head coach will be expected to attend practices and meets and oversee all areas of travel planning, budget management and program organization. Recruiting duties include but are not limited to: scouting and evaluation, planning and executing campus visits, phone calls, emails, mailings and managing the recruiting database (Front Rush). The Head Coach will be expected to adhere to the MIAC code of ethics and follow MIAC and NCAA Division III guidelines and regulations, while exhibiting behavior that represents a positive image of the athletic program and the college. Evenings, weekends and travel required.

Requirements Include:
Bachelor's degree required, master's preferred. At least three (3) years of college coaching and recruiting experience required.

On Wednesday, March 25, Jeff Swenson will share his vocational journey at the Spring Vocation Lunch. The Christensen Center for Vocation invites Augsburg faculty and staff to attend this event in the East Commons that day from 11:10 am. to 12:20 p.m.
