ACTC Bus Service Resumes January 12th

Bus schedule reminders

ACTC bus service resumes on January 12, 2015 and runs through May 22, 2015 except January 19th. The spring schedule and bus stop times will remain the same as fall 2014; either version of the print schedule is valid. Visit www.actc-mn.org/bus for more information on the schedule or to try the new mobile application.

WINTER WEATHER REMINDERS:

Delays: Winter driving conditions and traffic delays may affect the ACTC bus. To find out whether the ACTC bus is running late or when it will arrive at your stop, call the Safe-Way Bus Company dispatcher at 651.451.1375 or use the mobile tracking application posted at www.actc-mn.org/bus. ACTC will attempt to announce all bus delays of 15 minutes or more via Twitter (@actcmn) and facebook.com/actcmn.

Transferring between buses: Let the ACTC bus driver know if you plan to transfer between buses at the St. Kate's Saint Paul campus. Bus drivers will accommodate transfers as well as possible.

Cancellations: In case of severe weather, ACTC bus service may be delayed or canceled. Check WCCO.com, WCCO-TV Channel 4, or WCCO Radio 830 for
cancellation information.

Refuge of the InvisibLao: A Visual Essay Exhibit

Little Laos on the Prairie (LLOTP) invites you to join us for "Refuge of the InvisibLao: A Visual Essay," a storytelling art and photography. The exhibit will feature the work of acclaimed neo-expressionist Chicago-based artist Chanthala Kommanivanh and past and present portraits of Lao American journeys that were collected by LLOTP Founding Editor, Chanida Phaengdara Potter, as well as other special guests. The event welcomes community members, public officials, advocates, scholars, and those interested in immigrant stories from Laos and Southeast Asia.

Join us in celebrating and honoring 40 years of Lao journeys. Appetizers and drinks will be served. Originals and prints of artwork will be available for sale. All proceeds goes to The Lao Diaspora Project and our collaborators to continue our work.

WHEN: Opening storytelling reception on Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Exhibition runs January 10-24, 2015 with gallery hours from 1:00pm-7:00pm daily

WHERE: Vine Arts Center on 2637 27th Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55406 (2nd level of Ivy Arts Building in Seward neighborhood). Farewell Gathering for Dionne Doering

Please join us on Thursday, January 8th in the Augsburg Room, Christensen Center, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. to wish Dionne Doering farewell and best wishes as she leaves her Director and Chief Human Resources Officer position at Augsburg to become the CHRO at Normandale Community College. Cake and other refreshments will be served.
