Telephone Maintenance Tomorrow at 5 a.m.

Starting at 5:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, August 6, maintenance will be performed on the campus telephone system. This maintenance will intermittently interrupt campus telephone service for approximately 1 hour.

Corporate Relations - Meet Jay & Amanda

The Institutional Advancement team would like to introduce Jay Peterson and Amanda Scherer.

Many of you have already met Jay and Amanda. They came on in an interim role in place of Laura Roller, former Sr. Director of Corporate, Foundation, and Government Relations. They now share the role of Assistant Director, Corporate and Foundation Relations.

Jay and Amanda will work to communicate Augsburg's unique higher-education story to increase overall visibility and awareness of the college.

Their work includes:

Community Programs - Securing funding for community programs such as Campus Kitchen, Urban Debate League, Urban Scrubs Camp, Health Commons, and EAST.

Corporate + Campus Connections - Establishing corporate partnerships for internships, financial support, mentorships, classroom visits, workshops, research opportunities, and more.

Events - Helping secure funding and support for the Strommen Executive Speaker Series, Eye Opener Breakfasts, Nobel Peace Prize Forum, and more.

Event Announcements

Farmers Market Will Resume in September

There will be no farmers market today, as it is on hold until the school year starts in September. We will be taking a short break to give our farmers time to tend and harvest their crops. Please come welcome them back when they return next month.

Keeping Track of Auggies

Hesser Leads Summer Workshops

Garry Hesser, Sabo Professor Emeritus, led a workshop on July 21st on "Servant-Leadership: Human Purpose and Presence" at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs for the "Young African Leaders Initiative (Washington Fellows)" sponsored by the U.S. State Department. And on July 23rd Garry co-led a three day Experiential Education Academy at Florida State University, focusing on "Teaching Experientially" and "Reflection: Moving from Miseducative to Educative."
