Candidate materials and a survey link are provided on our Moodle Community page. You can access this page by following these steps:
Go to Moodle
Click on Community (upper right)
Scroll to the very bottom and select the category "Director of Public Safety"
Click on the community site and self enroll
From that point forward, the DPS Director site will appear on your community home page

"Ode to Joy" Music Garden
Dear Colleagues,
Many of you have been an important part of the Music Therapy program at Augsburg College over the past 40 years. We are delighted to announce that we are inaugurating the Master of Music Therapy degree with an emphasis on health care this fall. We will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Music Therapy program during Homecoming with a special dinner on Friday, September 26. Please save the date and watch for registration details.
In celebration of both the 40th anniversary and the beginning of the master's program, we hope to install three beautiful outdoor instruments by the Music Hall. We are calling this the "Ode to Joy" Music Garden. You may recall that this project originated as part of last year's Give to the Max Day at Augsburg. In order to make this dream a reality, we are seeking your donation through a generous contribution of $250. This amount will include your name on our commemorative plaque. At the present time, we need an additional 16 contributions in this amount, or the equivalent of $4,000. Of course, we will accept your donation in any amount. This small beginning at Augsburg College is a part of a larger vision for engaging inter-generational play at public parks throughout the Twin Cities. There are already two similar installations at Jackson Park in Northeast Minneapolis and at the Maple Grove Rotary Music Park.
Our goal is to raise the remaining funds by August 1, 2014 in order to install our instruments by the end of September for our 40th Anniversary celebration. Thank you to everyone who has already generously supported this "Ode to Joy" Music Garden project--we hope you will join us in this joyful celebration!

2014 McNair Summer Research Presentations
One component of the McNair Scholars Program is a 10-week summer research project. Each year students work with a faculty mentor on a specific topic, culminating in a final paper and presentation. In August students will be attending and presenting at the 22nd Annual McNair Scholars Symposium at the University of California-Berkeley. If you would like the opportunity to see these presentations at Augsburg, please join us this upcoming Tuesday, July 22, at 10 am in Kennedy 303/305. Attendees are encouraged to select topics that interest them and to offer support and feedback to the Scholars. This event is open to the public, including all interested students, faculty and staff. We are grateful for everyone's work to build a community that is small for our students but big for the world. ;)

MFA Summer Residency - Readings and Screenings
The MFA in Creative Writing 2014 Summer Residency is on campus through Sunday, July 27. Please join us in welcoming our very talented students and acclaimed writers to campus for this festival of craft talks, workshops, evening readings and more. This summer's visitors include Pulitzer prize-winning science journalist Deborah Blum, playwright Kristoffer Diaz, poet/memoirist Alex Lemon, screenwriter Bill Wheeler, and author Pam Houston. They will be joining our own MFA mentors, Nicole Brending, Stephan Eirik Clark, Cass Dalglish, Jack El-Hai, Heid Erdrich, John Gaterud, Sarah Myers, Cary Waterman and Steven Wingate.
We invite you to join us for the evening readings/screenings and receptions, at which featured writers will be available to sign their works. All events begin at 7:30 p.m., and the public is invited.

Hi my name is Frankie, and I will be a student at Augsburg in the fall. I'm looking for students who want to make some money and gain job experience. I use a wheelchair and require assistance with daily living tasks. I'm looking to hire about five or more personal care attendants (PCAs). The pay is about $12 an hour.
