Registration Open Now: Wellness Challenge

Green Plate Club

Work toward your personal Health Goal by adding green vegetables to your plate! The Green Plate Club Challenge will help you keep pace with your peers as you eat more nutrient-rich, green vegetables. This challenge is a part of the Active Wellness program. It is open to ALL Faculty and Staff.

Interested in some friendly competition with your coworkers?

How to participate:
- Eat at least one serving of green vegetables five days each week for three weeks (15 total days)
- Record your participation at www.myinteractivehealth.com/MyHealthTools
Use the Fruit and Veggie Tracker on the Challenge Dashboard or the Food Log to enter the vegetables you've eaten

For participants that completed a Biometric screening as a part of our Active Wellness Program, successful completion of the Green Plate Club Challenge will earn you 50 points towards reaching your personal Health Goal to be eligible for the 2015 incentive.

Register from Wednesday, July 9 to Tuesday, July 22 by clicking on Sign Up on the challenge banner at www.myinteractivehealth.com/MyHealthTools. First time registrants use sponsor code V9DXA.

Challenge runs Wednesday July 16 through Wednesday August 6.

MFA Summer Residency - Readings and Screenings

The MFA in Creative Writing 2014 Summer Residency will be held from Thursday, July 17 through Sunday, July 27. Please join us in welcoming our very talented students and acclaimed writers to campus for this festival of craft talks, workshops, evening readings and more. This summer's visitors include Pulitzer prize-winning science journalist Deborah Blum; playwright Kristoffer Diaz, poet/memoirist Alex Lemon, screenwriter Bill Wheeler and author Pam Houston. They will be joining our own MFA mentors, Nicole Brending, Stephan Eirik Clark, Cass Dalglish, Jack El-Hai, Heid Erdrich, John Gaterud, Sarah Myers, Cary Waterman and Steven Wingate.

We invite you to join us for the evening readings/screenings and receptions, at which featured writers will be available to sign their works. All events begin at 7:30 p.m., and the public is invited.
