Memorial Hall Elevator Out of Service This Summer
In order to comply with City of Minneapolis ordinances, the Memorial Hall elevator needs to have extensive modernization. The elevator will be out of service beginning in a few weeks (NOT early June as first thought) for 12-14 weeks. If alternative access accommodations are anticipated for any staff, faculty, students, or customers, please contact Dennis Stuckey at 612-330-1033 as soon as possible.

Training Sessions For New Web Time Entry System
Everyone is invited to several hands-on open labs about our upcoming move to a new web time entry system. Now that we have made the transition it is a great time to sharpen your skills in the system.
The key benefits of the new web time entry system are:
- no Java except for what is in your coffee mug
- easy time entry for students with multiple jobs
- supervisors able to view time worked by student workers in all jobs
- up to the minute benefit accrual time information on the main screen showing time taken, available and requested
- easier reporting options for supervisors
The new time entry system is the place where the benefit accrual time is calculated each pay period for the benefit-eligible employees. It is the main keeper of the benefit accruals.
Hands-on training sessions are listed below. These will be open labs. Come when you want and leave when you want.
Employee-focused session:
Friday June 6, 12 noon - 3 p.m., Sverdrup 201 Computer Lab
Supervisor-focused session:
Thursday June 5, 12 noon - 2 p.m., Sverdrup 205 Computer Lab
If you have any questions please let myself or Theresa Gade (gade@augsburg.edu) know.

Russian Physicist Needs Rental: Aug. 22 - Dec. 22
A Russian Physicist (low atmosphere) has spent fall semester at Augsburg College every year for the past several years. He is in need of rental from about Aug. 22 to Dec. 22. His usual landlord is unable to house him this year, and described him as a wonderful tenant: "ideal...very responsible, kept the place neat as a pin, spent most of his time working at school, commuted by bicycle, ate mostly in restaurants, when his wife visited we shared cooking lessons as she prepared borscht, fish, various pickled stuff and we had a great time exposing me to Russian cuisine, which we shared in dinners with my family." Location would be fine anywhere within a 5 mile radius of Augsburg.
