Christensen Center Dock Closure
The Christensen Center dock will be closed today and tomorrow for installation of a new door. Shipping and Receiving will handle alternative arrangements with all regular delivery companies (USPS, UPS, FedEx). If you are expecting large deliveries from other carriers, please work with your vendor to warn them of the dock closure.

Writing Lab Hours for the Next Few Days
As the end of the term approaches, it is wise to spend some time with the writing tutors in the WL. Don't wait! There are just a few weeks left in the semester.
This is the schedule for the next few days::
Wednesday: 3:30 - 6:00 p.m.; 6:30 - 9 p.m.
Thursday: 12:30 - 3:00 p.m.; 3:30 - 6:00 p.m.
NOTE for Easter week: The library will be closed at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 17 through Easter Sunday. Lab hours resume Monday, April 21.
Faculty - Sign Up for Jessica's Writing Retreat
Faculty: do you wish you had uninterrupted time to write/work on scholarship? If so, you will want to take advantage of the annual Jessica Nathanson Scholarly Writing Retreat.
The retreat will take place at the Dunrovin Retreat Center outside Marine on St. Croix (www.dunrovin.org). The center will be open for our use from Sunday, May 18 at 2 p.m. through Tuesday, May 20 at 1 p.m. (after lunch).
The Center for Teaching and Learning will cover the cost of the retreat. There will be no charge for participants. To reserve one of the 15 spots, please email ctl@augsburg.edu.

Career Quick Stop This Week
The Strommen Center for Meaningful Work will be offering Career Quick Stop this week on Tuesday from 1:00-2:30 p.m. and Wednesday 10-11:30 a.m. in the Christensen Center, Suite 100 These walk-in hours are meant for quick career questions and short resume reviews. Appointments will be limited to 15 minutes and students will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
TIAA-CREF Individual Counseling Sessions
TIAA-CREF regularly offers individual counseling sessions at no additional cost to you.
You can discuss your personal financial situation with an experienced TIAA-CREF Financial Consultant on a confidential basis. They are available to discuss how to help you achieve your financial goals by investing in financial solutions such as mutual funds, brokerage, life insurance and annuities.

Staff Senate Seeks Nominees by Thursday
Staff Senate seeks awesome Auggies.
Be engaged in the Augsburg community by serving on Staff Senate. If you'd like to be on the ballot to become a senator or nominate a colleague, email grewe@augsburg.edu by 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 17. All nominees will be verified before being placed on the election ballot.
Online elections will be open April 24 through May 1. An email will be sent to all Augsburg staff with a link to the online election survey on April 24. Staff will have until May 1 to take the survey. The top vote recipients will be notified by May 2.

The Campus Kitchen is looking to hire one internal candidate as the Operations and Education Coordinator for Summer 2014 (May-August). Bookstore Hours This Week
The bookstore will be open Monday-Wednesday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Thursday we will be open from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
We will be in Rochester from 4 - 6:30 p.m. selling pre ordered cap and gowns. Friday, we will be closed in observance of Good Friday.

Great Colleges Survey: Added Lab Sessions
Human Resources recognizes that many members of our community have work that does not require use of a computer, or who may not have a dedicated office. Therefore we will be hosting computer lab sessions for employees to complete the survey. This will also provide an opportunity for employees to ask questions they might have about the survey or who would like assistance with the survey process.

DUI - Costly Consequences TONIGHT
Please join the EP!C peer health educators tonight for a program on the Costs and Consequences of Driving Under the Influence from 7 - 9 p.m. in OGC 100. Learn about DUI from a MN State Trooper, Joe Dellwo, a lawyer, Paul Thompson (also an Auggie alum!) and a current student, Ashley Campion.

Dress Drive
The women's lacrosse team will be hosting a dress drive for local high school students in need of assistance with the extravagant costs of prom. Over Easter weekend, please collect your dresses and bring them back to campus. A collection table will be available in Christianson on Monday and Tuesday from 11-1 p.m.

A panel of guest judges will be present and awards will be handed out. Science 123 and the Campus Kitchen invite the Augsburg community to participate in our final homework assignment of the semester. Students in the course Science 123 are dining out in the city to see the food materials science they have learned about all semester put to practice. You can join them, support the local food scene, and then meet some of the chefs!
On April 23, (OGC 100, 7:00 - 8:00) we will have a conversation with Landon Schoenefeld (Haute Dish), Erick Harcey (Victory 44), Karyn Tomlinson (Borough) about creativity, food, science, and the careers of professional chefs. Pilgrimage in Spain: Insights from Marty Stortz
Spanish Conversation Group welcomes Marty Stortz, Bernard M. Christensen Professor of Religion and Vocation, to our gathering this Thurs., 4/17. Marty will share photos and stories about her experiences on the Camino de Santiago, a well-known pilgrimage route that starts in France and ends in Santiago de Compostela, in northwestern Spain. Marty, a self-professed Camino-head, has hiked on the Camino Primitivo last summer (2013), parts of the Camino Frances in 2009, parts of the Via Tolosana in 2010, and parts of the Via Francigena in 2012. Marty will be speaking in English with a bit of Camino-Spanish thrown in for fun!
Marty starts her talk at 12:00 p.m. We meet in the Riverside Rm., 2nd floor, Christensen Center, with some conversation in Spanish first, starting at 11:30. Our gatherings are welcoming and informal, so please drop in anytime between 11:30-1:00 p.m. Feel free to bring your lunch.
