WL - Over 600 Sessions to Date This Semester

Tutors in the Writing Lab have already conducted more than 600 sessions with Augsburg students this fall term. Bring your writing assignment, in any stage of completion, and join them! These are the hours:

Monday: 11:10 a.m. - 1:40 p.m. and 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Tuesday: 12:30 - 3 p.m., 3:30 - 6 p.m., and 7:30 - 10 p.m.
Wednesday: 3:30 - 6 p.m. and 6:30 - 9 p.m.
Thursday: 12:30 - 3 p.m., 3:30 - 6 p.m., and 7:30 - 10 p.m.
Friday: 4:30 - 7 p.m.
Sunday: 5 - 8 p.m.

Dining Services Customer Satisfaction Survey

Last week, I sent an email to every student, staff, and faculty member inviting you to participate in a dining services customer satisfaction survey. We are eager to get your feedback! Please go to your Augsburg email - it contains your individual participant code - and click on the link to participate. Students who participate will be in a drawing for one of two great prizes provided by A'Viands - two Google Chromecasts! ALL RESPONSES ARE CONFIDENTIAL. This login code is only used to let us know which students participated so that the prize drawings my be held. Your survey responses will go directly to an independent third party research firm and your identity will not be associated with your responses.

Last Open Enrollment Information Session

The annual benefit enrollment period will remain open until November 20. This year our enrollment process will be online.

All benefit eligible employees will need to complete the enrollment form, even if you plan to maintain the same benefit coverage elections from 2013. Additionally due to enrollment forms being submitted online, no paper forms will be accepted.

Please be advised that open enrollment will close on November 20 at 4:00 p.m. No late submissions will be accepted.

During the information sessions, representatives from HealthPartners, Interactive Wellness, OptumHealth and Hays will be at the information sessions to answer any questions you might have about our plan offerings for 2014.

Please plan to attend to learn what you need to do to enroll and/or make changes to your current benefit elections.

Spanish Conversation This Thursday

Looking for a chance to improve your Spanish conversation skills? Then we've got just the thing for you - Spanish Conversation group!

Please join us as we gather to chat in Spanish, laugh, and have a bit of fun. From beginning to advanced, all levels are welcome! We meet every Thursday in the Riverside Room, 2nd floor Christensen, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Signs will be posted. Join us for 10 minutes or for the whole session, whatever works for you. Feel free to bring your lunch.

Give to the Max Day is Tomorrow

Get ready to Give to the Max! Tomorrow, Augsburg College will be participating in Give to the Max Day, a one-day online giving campaign for non-profits and charities across the state of Minnesota.

Our goal is to come in first place among all MN colleges and universities in terms of dollars raise--and your gift will help us get there. We have 28 different projects that you can support across campus. 26th Nobel Peace Prize Forum

The 26th Annual Nobel Peace Prize Forum, scheduled from March 1 and March 7 - 9, provides the Augsburg community the opportunity to hear from global, national, and local leaders on topics related to peace and peacemaking. The cost for Augsburg students to attend is only $12 per day. Augsburg faculty and staff will receive a 50% discount on tickets. Keeping Track of Auggies

Greg Lewis Places 2nd at Speech Meet

Congratulations to Auggie Greg Lewis, who earned a 2nd place trophy at yesterday's Twin Cities Forensics League tournament at Normandale Community College. Greg placed 2nd out of 17 contestants in impromptu speaking. Also competing for Augsburg were Jillyanne Marcinkowski, Yemi Melka, and T. J. Deen.

Two identical Hunter brand ceiling fan/lights. 48", 5 blade, black with wood grain fan blades. Three lights with frosted swirl globes. In great shape (just don't need them in my air-conditioned house). $50 each.

Heavy duty queen size bed frame, 6 wheels. Bought for $100, used just 6 months while I transitioned, I am returning to my platform bed frame now that I am settled. $50.

Beautiful dark brown woman's suede shearling swing coat with scallop edge on the bottom made in Europe. Collar, cuffs and scallop edges trimmed with the same fur as inside.
