Campus Access Changes

Updated Timeline:
• Now-Sept. 3: Those who do not currently have a fob or access card, should request one through the online request form at www.augsburg.edu/dps/locksmith/
• Sept. 4: New campus building hours will take effect.

Buildings will be unlocked and open from 6:45AM to 7 PM Mon. - Sat.; 10AM to 7PM Sundays.
Augsburg Community members with a fob will have access to academic buildings from 6:45 AM to 11PM daily, with the exception of holidays when the campus is officially closed.

The Christensen Center and the Lindell Library will continue to be opened until the building closes, rather than having limited access after business hours. These buildings will continue to be public buildings, open and available to our surrounding community to use. Lot G Closed Today

Lot G (near 21st and 7th, behind the CCHP house) will be closed for maintenance work on Wednesday, August 28 beginning at 6 a.m. Please park in a different Augsburg parking lot on that morning. Work should be completed by the end of the day pending any weather set-backs.

Vehicles parked in lot G will be towed at the owner's expense to prevent damage to vehicles during the maintenance work. Signs will be posted at the lot entrances as a reminder.

Open Moodle Labs Begin


Do you need some help

building/editing your hybrid course Moodle site?

planning the online components of your hybrid course?

creating engaging forum discussion assignments?

devising relevant online assignments?

thinking through course management issues?

diversifying and expanding your Moodle course content?


Come to an Open Moodle Lab for individualized help. Open Labs will be held Tues & Wed. from 9-10:30 am and Thurs. 1:00-2:30 pm in L-202. Bring your laptop and any pertinent course materials with you (in electronic docs, if possible).

These Open Moodle Labs begin Thursday, August 29.

Hands-on Agresso Training - Sept. 13

Budget Managers are encouraged to participate in a hands-on Agresso training session on Sept. 13. The training is offered by the Administrative Accounting and Finance office and will discuss how coding deposits and expenses impact your budget, where you are versus budget/outlook, and how to use Agresso web to find out.

We will in the Sverdrup 201 computer lab between 2-4 p.m.

Remember: This is a hands-on training. You will probe money coming in and going out, so bring your cost center number and questions!

Academic Scheduling Coordinator – Registrar’s Office

The Academic Scheduling Coordinator ensures that accurate academic and registration records exist for all current and former students. This position coordinates the registration process with various special programs in the Augsburg College community, and also coordinates with faculty members and department heads on a continual basis to resolve scheduling and registration issues. This position maintains the master course file for each academic year. Implements registration policies for the College and performs quality checks in the registration process to ensure accuracy and completeness. Also coordinates registration policies and practices with numerous Master’s programs and other specialty programs with specific needs. Evaluates incoming transfer credits and communicates results. Coordinates the process of updating the undergraduate and graduate catalogs each year. The position also creates, updates and manages content for the department’s website.

Requirements include:
A Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of related experience required. Also requires strong computer skills, working with databases, running queries and reports, and experience with Microsoft Office software products. Experience managing website content preferred. Knowledge of FERPA required. Demonstrated planning and organizational skills, and attention to detail and accuracy required.

Free Lockers Available for Commuter Students

Campus Activities and Orientation provides free lockers for students (Day, WEC, and Graduate) who commute to campus during the academic year. Lockers are located on the Ground and 2nd Levels of Science Building.

These lockers are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. To request your locker for the academic year, please print out, complete, and sign the form below and turn it into Michael Grewe in Christensen Center Room 1D (located on the ground floor in the "Auggie's Nest").

Event Announcements

Looking for Musicians for Neighborhood Event

Hey Auggie Musicians! On September 21st from 12:00PM-5:00PM, the Seward Neighborhood Group is sponsoring its biennial event, the King's Fair. The King's fair has been a tradition since the 1800's and is a large neighborhood event that will host over 1000 people and include activities such as music, food, a petting zoo, a strong man contest and much, much more. I am currently looking for a couple Auggie musicians/bands/groups who would be interested in playing a set for one of the King's Fair stages.
