Event Announcements

What Does Forgiveness Mean?

Approximately 20 high school students from around Minnesota will gather at Augsburg College on Sunday June 26th to spend a week studying theology at our annual Augsburg College Youth Theology Institute. This year's theme is "Our Wild and Reckless God: What Does Forgiveness Mean?" Dr. Mark Tranvik, Professor and Chair of Religion at Augsburg College, will guide the students through a theological exploration of forgiveness in class during the week. The students' classroom learning will be enhanced with a variety of community-based learning experiences including a visit to Mt. Zion Temple, the Basilica of St. Mary, Thrivent's religious art gallery, and Campus Kitchen. We also take in a fair share of fun and good food during the week. If you see this group on campus, be sure to ask them what they know about forgiveness.
