Message: A total of 26 CIEE International Faculty Development Seminars (IFDS) are on offer for the summer of 2008. Hosted by academic institutions abroad, IFDS seminars are concentrated educational experiences designed to explore fascinations, challenge preconceptions, and open eyes to a wide variety of issues shaping the world today. The RAD System is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. RAD is not a martial arts program. Safety Workshops are being taught by Department of Public Safety Officer Jennifer Kellogg. Augsburg College will host two 3-hour condensed RAD sessions in October. Students wishing to participate must register by e-mailing Kellogg@augsburg.edu prior to the start of either class. Please visit the following page for dates/times: www.augsburg.edu/dps/rad.html |
