Message: You are invited to attend a Spanish conversation group that will meet every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the Augsburg room, on the 2nd floor of the Christensen Center. Drop in for 10 minutes or for the whole 90 minutes – whatever works for you. Whether you're fluent in Spanish or just starting a beginning class, this will be a good practice experience. Students, faculty, staff; everyone is welcome! Bring your lunch if you want. We look forward to seeing you there! Questions? Contact Emiliano Chagil, Anita Fisher or Kate Reinhardt.

Message: Come get your fitness questions answered and sign up for a "personal training program session." This is an informal non-workout session for you to come and get information about our workout facilities. Monday, Sept. 17 or Tuesday, Sept 18 at noon in the conference room (3rd floor, Kennedy Center). These 2 sessions are identical, so please choose the one that best fits your schedule. For more information, e-mail pfaff@augsburg.edu.
Message: The Scholarly Writing Group, which provides an informal venue for discussing and getting feedback on individual scholarly writing projects, is holding its first meeting of the year from 11:30 - 1 p.m., today, Monday, Sept. 17, in Lindell 202 (right behind Terry Martin's desk on the 2nd floor of the library). We will be planning this year's meetings and discussing our individual summer and future projects. If you're interested and want to join us, even for part of the meeting, please do. For more information, contact Lori Hale (hale@augsburg.edu) and/or Doug Green (green@augsburg.edu).

Please join us this Thursday from 2 - 4 p.m. as we kick off the new semester! We'd love to tell you about our plans for the fall, which include two weekly, evening events for students and the return of our bimonthly potluck lunches. Stop by for refreshments and conversation. I hope to see you then!
Message: Faculty, we are approaching 10th day for the Fall Semester, which means Tuesday, 18 Sept., is the last day for students to drop without notation or add a course with your signature. I encourage you to check your class lists for accuracy now. Remember, the official class list is on AugNet Records and Registration, not Moodle. I am sure a gentle reminder to process a drop/add prior to the COB Tuesday will be greatly appreciated by students who are not registered correctly so they can possibly avoid a difficult registration issue. Thank you.
Message: Check out the new intramural bulletin board downstairs in the Kennedy Center for updates and sign-up information for this year's intramurals. The flag football sign-up deadline is targeting this Tuesday afternoon, with the league starting Thursday night; so hurry up and get in your completed rosters!
