OIP rises to the Campus Energy Challenge
Message:
On Monday, February 12, thirteen members of the staff from the Office of International Programs joined together to address issues of energy conservation, and did some community building at the same time. At 10 a.m., staff turned off computers, lights, radios, and other appliances in their offices and public spaces, and met for a Dark Coffee Break near the atrium windows in Murphy Place. They enjoyed no-bake cookies, each other's company, and the natural light of the atrium for a half hour, while lowering the offices total energy consumption. (The meeting place was actually a welcome alternative to the Murphy Place basement conference room, which has only florescent lights and no windows)

Auggie Cheer Team Community Day Fundraiser
Message:
It's the time of year for Herberger's Community Day Sale. The Augsburg Cheer Team is selling Community Day coupon booklets for a fundraiser. It's the same great deal this season: for each $5 donation you make to our cheer team, you will receive a $10 off coupon and eight 20% off coupons. It's going to be a big sale; there is even a bonus buy of $30 off entire stock of men's and women's Clarks shoes for that day. In addition, these coupons can be used at any Herbergers, Bergners, Boston Store, Carson Prairie Scott, Elder-Beerman, and Yonkers stores. Community Day is on Saturday, March 3rd, and we will be selling them from now until that day. They are also a great gift to give for any shoppers in your life! Please let me know how many you or any of your family members or friends would like. Then, we can arrange when I can stop by to give you your coupons and pick up your donation. Thanks for your continuous support for our team!
