The 2006 Minnesota legislative session passed a new carbon monoxide law. This new law requires carbon monoxide (CO) alarms in all newly constructed homes built after January 1, 2007. All existing single-family homes will need to have CO alarms by August 1, 2008, and multi-family housing will be required to have CO alarms by August 1, 2009. Good day knitters and crocheters! Do you ever wish you could put your knitting and/or crocheting skills towards a cause to better life for others? Well now you can! Alia Scheirman and I are looking to start a group here on campus, where we'd knit for charity, called Knitting Knerds (cute huh?)

Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving are official College holidays. The payday which would normally occur on November 24 for biweekly staff, administrative staff, and faculty will be moved to November 22 to avoid conflict with the holiday closure.
Message: The Writing Lab will close after its afternoon shift on Wednesday, Nov. 22; it will be open Wednesday from 3-5:30 but not from 6:30-9 p.m. The lab will resume regular hours on Sunday, Nov. 24 (5:30 - 8 p.m.).
Message: Today is National Recycling Day and it is a good time to thank all the people on campus who care enough to recycle at work and at home. In an average year Augsburg recycles approximately 13.5 tons of cans & bottles, 63.3 tons of paper and cardboard and 280 cubic yards of garden waste. We also send out thousands of fluorescent light bulbs for hazardous waste recovery and safe disposal every year.
