For the next couple of weeks there will be 3 brand new pieces of aerobic equipment in the fitness center for you to demo. Please take time to come down and check out the precor treadmill, X-trainer and upright bike. We want to know what you think and need your input to help us determine what to include in the new fitness center. Please take time to jot us a note at: <fitness@augsbur.edu> and tell us what you think of the new equipment or other thoughts on what should be included in our planning.
Message: Twenty-four students will begin their journey at Augsburg College with the TRIO / Student Support Services Summer Bridge Program. This four week academic program is offered to Augsburg first year students who qualify for the TRIO/SSS program. Summer Bridge runs Monday, July 10 through Thursday, August 10, 2006. Summer Bridge students will take two college credit courses, Religion 100: Christian Vocation and the Search for Meaning taught by Mark D.Tranvik and GST 140: Introduction to Liberal Arts course taught by Peggy Cerrito. Summer Bridge is FREE of charge to students and includes course textbooks, program materials and supplies. This year 18 of the Summer Bridge students chose to live in the residence halls, and their meals will be provided through a generous grant from the Augsburg Dean of the College. In addition to the college courses, Summer Bridge students attend a Supplemental Instruction course (taught by Kenneth Turner Jr.), workshops about Augsburg College and college life, as well as social and cultural activities. |
