Message: As announced by President Frame at the Earth Day Mini-convocation on April 21st, Augsburg will implement a generously discounted Transit Pass pilot program for all students who live on campus and do not have a car and for all other students who choose to commute to the College via public transit on a daily basis. The purpose of this pilot project is to more accurately determine current commute patters and to encourage those who can use public transit to do so on a regular basis. More transit users results in less demand for parking spaces for those who cannot use transit. If this program is successful it could help prevent (or delay) the building of a parking garage that would result in a dramatic increase in parking fees for everyone. Those students who apply for the super discounted pass will have to abide by the rules that will include no personal vehicle on campus. More details will be announced during the summer and early September.

Message: GST 200: Quantitative Reasoning/Statistical Literacy is being offered this summer during summer session 1. The course is listed in the Summer Catalog but the fact that it fulfills a QR was omitted. This course will fullfill a Quantitative Reasoning grad skill for students under either the Perspectives or the Core curriculum.

Message:
The theme for this spring's Lilly retreat is "finding our way home again". We will use spring themes to examine how we can connect who we are with what we do. Selected readings, poems, video, music and nature will serve as catalysts helping us to slow down, to hear ourselves, and to have significant conversations with each other. All activities are invitational and personal time is scheduled into the retreat.
