July 21, 2012: Attempted Sexual Assault

Public Safety was notified of an attempted sexual assault on Saturday, July 21, 2012. The report of the attempted sexual assault was submitted through the Department of Public Safety Anonymous Tip Form.

The victim reported that around 2:15 a.m., while walking through Murphy Park, an intoxicated man grabbed the victim by the waistband and directed the victim to remove their pants. The victim was able to disengage from the suspect and flee the scene.

The Department of Public Safety is investigating this attempted assault. If you have any information about this crime, please contact Jesse Cashman, director of public safety, at 612-330-1644 or via email at cashman@augsburg.edu.

Suspect Description:

White male
Middle aged
Brown hair and beard
Baggy clothing
Intoxicated

Andrea Sanow has played a significant role in the work of LSAMP and URGO as joint administrative assistant during the past two years. Join us in the LSAMP/URGO/McNair Suite, Science 152, this Thursday from 2-4 p.m. to thank her for her work and to wish her well in her new venture, serving in San Francisco for the Lutheran Volunteer Corp.

Upperclassmen Move In

For the first time, the Department of Residence Life is allowing upperclassmen to begin moving into on-campus housing on August 23.

All students will receive their move-in information by email during the first week of August.
