Riverside Avenue road construction begins

Picture of road construction Road construction on Riverside Avenue will affect access to the Minneapolis campus this summer. Augsburg College students, employees, and visitors should plan extra time for travel and be prepared for delays getting to and from campus.

Construction work has begun on Riverside Ave. and will continue for the duration of the 2011 construction season.

This information will be available on the Augsburg web site at www.augsburg.edu/about/map.html and the Augsburg construction information hotline, 612-330-1776.

Alternate transportation options include Metro Transit light rail and bus lines. Discount transit passes are available through the Enrollment Center. The Nice Ride Minnesota bike station can be used for those who wish to commute by bike. In addition, the College has a telecommuting policy that may be worth exploring with your supervisor.

Finally, please note that there will be increased traffic, including emergency vehicles, routed through campus as a result of the Riverside Ave. project. Pedestrians are advised to use cross walks and exercise caution when crossing streets on campus during the construction period.
