Field Study Professor Brooks Gekler explains: “Student consulting teams work with Twin Cities based businesses and community organizations evaluating issues and opportunities, researching markets, competitors and customers, developing solutions, and presenting comprehensive action plans.”

M.B.A. student Jared Greupner relates his experience with the project: "Three members of the Cohort VI team presented their final field study/capstone project to Metropolitan Dental Management, Inc., the holding company for Metro Dentalcare. With team members consisting of an Operations Manager for Metro Dentalcare (Jared Greupner), a Financial Analyst for Wells Fargo (Scott Hetland )and a Marketing Manager for Enpath Medical (Debby Grooms), the team was well positioned to provided the requested research.

“The project focused on the strategic question of growth for the company, and specifically the when, where and how to do so. The presentation was attended by 12 members of the client's executive team and Augsburg's M.B.A. Program Director and Field Study Professor. Feedback received from the client was very positive, with an initial assessment that the work provided will be integrated into the future planning processes for the company.”
