Student elections underway

Beginning Friday, March 9 at 10 a.m, all Day Students are encouraged to vote for next year’s Senators and Student Body President and Vice President.
Student Government is the organization that serves and represents the entire student body, simultaneously striving to foster student involvement in an effort to enhance the Augsburg Community. One of the primary responsibilities of this organization is to oversee allocation of the Student Activity Fee. These elections provide students with an opportunity to directly elect senate members who they feel best represent and understand the needs of the student body. Elections will end Friday, March 16 at 5 p.m.
There are four senator positions to fill in each class. Students may only vote for senators that are representing their class.
Candidates include:
Sophomore Class: Jerry Milam, Jake Quarstad, Donnarose Storer, Jamie Krumenauer, Megan Benrud, and Joe Brown.
Junior Class: Agnes Kigwana and Charles Hugo
Senior Class: Purity Ouma, Matt Eller
The option to write-in a candidate is also available.
All students have the opportunity to vote for the Student Body President and Vice President.
Candidates include:
President Ricky Oudekerk with Vice President Alex Hoselton
President Laura Olsen with Vice President Tom Kuzmich
President Emily Jensen and Vice President Erin Olsen
A special election will be held next fall to fill the first year senator positions as well as any vacant spots.
