Wellness Initiative kicks off with Augsburg Cup challenge
“The Augsburg Wellness Initiative got off to a mighty start with Human Resources and Health/Physical Education (HR/HPE) claiming victory in the race for the Augsburg Cup. In the Wednesday, Jan. 24 game of Lindsay ball (a softball/dodgeball hybrid), HR/HPE kept Team CabOops (President’s Cabinet and Office of the President) hustling and secured a 36-15 victory. Team HR/HPE now holds the Augsburg Cup and awaits a challenger.
The Augsburg Cup is one of the five initiatives promoted by the college wellness committee to help increase physical and spiritual wellness, stress management, and good nutrition among its workforce. Teams of 6-8 gather and challenge other teams to a friendly competition. Nearly every sport, including dodge ball and bowling, is a possibility.
