The Office of Undergraduate Research and Graduate Opportunity (URGO) is a resource for Augsburg students seeking research, scholarship and graduate or professional school opportunities. One such opportunity available for the students is to present their research during Scholars Day at the State Capitol in St. Paul.

Two Augsburg students, Robert Tix and Christina Quick, recently presented their research posters at the 4th Annual Minnesota Private College Scholars at the Capitol.

Tix, who works with Dr. Nancy Steblay in the psychology department, presented his research on “The Impact of Multiple Lineup Identification Attempts on Eyewitness Accuracy.” Quick presented her research on “Controversy and Corruption: The Ku Klux Klan and Minneapolis Politics, 1922-1924.” Quick works with Dr. Michael Lansing in the history department.

“The aim of this program is to publicize and celebrate the achievements of just a few of the many exceptional undergraduate students who attend Minnesota’s private colleges,” said Dixie Shafer, director of the URGO program.

Other Minnesota private schools represented included: Concordia College, Moorhead; The University of St. Thomas; Concordia University, St. Paul; Macalester College; Bethel University; St. Olaf College; The College of St. Benedict; Saint John’s University; The College of St. Scholastica; and Northwestern College.
