The top-ranked Augsburg wrestling team will face perennial rival Wartburg (Iowa) in the annual "Battle of the 'Burgs" dual meet, to be held at Si Melby Hall on Thursday, February 1 at 7 p.m. Augsburg is the top-ranked team in the NCAA Division III wrestling rankings, with eight individuals ranked among the top eight nationally in their weight classes. Meanwhile, Wartburg, the defending Division III national champions, is ranked No. 2 in the national poll, with seven individuals nationally ranked.

Augsburg enters Thursday's match with a 10-0 dual-meet record, winning 85 of 100 individual bouts in the 10 duals. On Friday, the Auggies claimed a 23-13 win at Nebraska-Omaha, the three-time defending NCAA Division II national champions and current No. 2-ranked team in the division. On Sunday, the Auggies claimed their third shutout victory of the season, winning all 10 bouts in claiming a 47-0 win over Division II St. Cloud State.
