Africa and the Future of Christianity

March 5 , 2007

Christianity in Africa

Africa, home to some of the earliest Christians, has become in recent years the population center of world Christianity.

As Europeans have been abandoning Christian faith, Africans have been adopting and adapting the tradition. What are the future growth projections for Christianity in Africa and in the West?

Dr. Brad Holt will address this question on Wednesday, March 7 in his illustrated lecture "Africa and the Future of Christianity: Reflections on a Visit to Nigeria." Based on Dr. Holt's experience of living almost a decade in Africa, his reading, and his recent visit to Nigeria will provide the grist for the discussion of what is on the horizon.

It will take place from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the Marshall Room of Christensen Center.
