<:15 Film Festival premieres at Augsburg

It was only a matter of time before someone produced a film festival celebrating the burgeoning video cell phone. Stephen Geffre, Augsburg College staff photographer, is that someone.
Today he officially announced the first annual <:15 film festival (a.k.a. fifteen second or less film festival). The <:15 film festival is subtitled "The Film Festival for Everyone." It couldn't be more true: nearly everyone has access to a video cell phone these days. You may also use your digital video camera.
The idea is for would-be filmmakers to shoot 15 seconds (or less) of footage on the Augsburg campus. The only request is that it includes a beginning, a middle, and an end. A screening of select clips will show in April during the Augsburg annual academic festival zyzzogeton.
Eligible filmmakers must be Augsburg students, faculty, staff, or alumni. A panel of judges will select three winners who will be awarded prizes.
