Teaching and Learning

Apply for Off-Campus Summer Research

Travel. Learn. Connect.

Get paid to conduct research with some of the nation's top academics at universities, labs, or institutes through a summer research program. There are programs designed for students in the sciences, social sciences, and humanities, and they often include a research stipend and housing. Such programs are a great way to enhance your education, meet new people, and explore a new city!

See URGO's website to find hundreds of off-campus research opportunities: http://www.augsburg.edu/urgo/research/off-campus-research/

Application deadlines for these programs are most often near the start of next semester (January, February), so Winter Break is the perfect time to get started! URGO will be hosting a workshop January 17 where students will receive one on one advising and feedback on their applications. Students are encouraged to send their application essays to urgo@augsburg.edu prior to the workshop to make the most of the time.

Off-Campus Research Application Workshop
Saturday, January 17th
10 a.m.-2 p.m. in SVE 201
Lunch will be provided

If you cannot make it to the workshop, please contact URGO at 612-330-1446 or urgo@augsburg.edu to make an individual appointment.
